Herta Thotné Fuchs

Ms. Thotné Fuchs was born in Szombathely, Hungary, in 1968. After successfully completing her university education as a German and Russian teacher at the University of Pécs in Hungary, Ms. Thotné Fuchs worked as a secretary in Düsseldorf, including for Ernst & Young. Since 2003, Ms. Thotné Fuchs has worked in a renowned patent firm in Ratingen where she acquired extensive expertise and experience in key aspects of intellectual property, particularly with online filing and correspondence with the World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO), the European Patent Office (EPO) and the German Patent and Trademark Office (DPMA). Ms. Thotné Fuchs has extensive knowledge and experience with the online filing process at the USPTO.


Ms. Thotné Fuchs played a key role in establishing the firm and is responsible for the firm’s accounting, internal infrastructure and administration.


Ms. Thotné Fuchs speaks English, German and Hungarian.




Petra Lahl-Schneider

Ms. Lahl-Schneider was born in Duisburg in 1960. After completing her training as an attorney and notarial paralegal, Ms. Lahl-Schneider worked as a secretary in various companies, most recently for over 30 years in a technically oriented sales company belonging to the Etex Group as a Secretary/Assistant in the areas of management, commercial management and division management in sales and marketing. She also worked as a Marketing Assistant following the completion of her professional training in marketing with the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) in 1995. Starting 2014, Ms. Lahl-Schneider shifted the focus of her activities to intellectual property law with an emphasis on worldwide trademarks, holding responsibility, for example, for global brand monitoring.


Ms. Lahl-Schneider has been a member of the THOT PATENT team since August 1, 2018.


Ms. Lahl-Schneider speaks German and English.
